How to connect Moon Knight to to the MCU more clearly

I’ll be honest. If it wasn’t for the Marvel logo being attached to Moon Knight, I never would have known the series was a Marvel entity. After several Avengers movies, along with Captain America: Civil War, where many Marvel hero’s interact with one another, it seems to me that there should be at least a hint of a new movie or Disney + show connecting to the broader MCU. This didn’t seem to be the case for Moon Knight and the producers need to understand that not everyone who watches these are familiar with the comics. I didn’t seem to find anything that had to do with the rest of the MCU at all. The show itself was fine for what it was and was fairly enjoyable but I feel it would have been nice have some references to the MCU as a whole.

With that being said, I thought of a way to do that. My idea mainly has to do with the after credits of the last episode. Before I get to that, I’d have some subtle hints about the broader MCU throughout the series. For instance, maybe a mention of a hero or two or something about the blip. One of the Gods mentioned from the Iniad scenes was Sehkmet, a God that was brought up by T’Challah in Civil War in the same vein as Bast, the Wakandan Panther Goddess. That would have been something to mention that would makeA slight connection.

Back to the end credit scene of the last episode. I’d add another that would be a lean in to an upcoming MCU movie. The scene that did happen was the introduction of the third personality, Jake Lockley, who kills Amit’s avatar.

After this, I’d have a scene with all the Egyptian Gods of the Iniad, with the exception of Amit and Konshu, meeting together without their avatars present. However, all you see is chaos, with all the Gods dead on the floor. The camera then pans up to Gorr the God Butcher, who killed all the Egyptian Gods, thus leading into Thor: Love and Thunder. It makes perfect sense and is a great connection to upcoming events within the MCU. Of course, I doubt much would add to the abysmal film of Thor: Love and Thunder, but that’s another story altogether.

Again, overall, I thought the Moon Knight series was fine but it really could have benefited from more references to the greater MCU, and that goes for all Marvel projects going forward. Sure, we had individual stories of Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, and Thor before the first Avengers movie, but there were references throughout these films about what was to come. One was the fact that Tony Stark’s father Howard knew and worked with Captain America. Another was the end credits of the Incredible Hulk movie, where Tony approached Thunderbolt Ross about a team, referring to the Avengers. Third, and most important of these examples was the end credits for the first Iron Man movie when Tony came home, only to be confronted by Shield leader Nick Fury about the Avenger Initiative.
